Orlando Grout Recoloring
Clean Grout Will Freshen Up Your Floors
Tile is durable so it is an easy surface to clean, however Grout is porous, so it is not stain proof or water proof. When the grout becomes discolored it can ruin the look of your flooring, shower, or countertop.
You can certainly clean your grout with homemade cleaning supplies, but this is only a temporary solution. The best way to clean grout is to have it professionally cleaned with the proper equipment. Our machines remove dirt, grease, and stains while avoiding the use of harsh chemicals. We also remove mold and mildew, leaving your grout sparkling and sanitary as well.
Coloring grout is done by applying a colored acrylic epoxy coating to an existing sanded grout joint. This process also seals your grout joints. The colors to choose from to match any decor of your home are endless. Once this process is done, your grout joints will have a seal that will last for years.
The Grout Coloring Process
You cannot apply grout colorant to non-sanded grout, it will not stick. Depending on whether there is an existing sealer or not, we first thoroughly clean the grout joints. We use a sponge to apply the grout colorant to all grout joint surfaces after the grout joints are thoroughly dry. We then need the colorant to set up for about 25-30 minutes. We also clean any colorant off the tile with fresh water.
That is it! Were usually done in the same day and put everything back in order. All we ask is that you let the product cure at least 24 hours before you wash the floor.
